Default which discs ?

hey Guys, I can do with some help and quality advice if you can offer any ?

going to buy a pair of Mintex M1144 Fast road pads (FRONTS ONLY)

the cheapest going are £87.10 inc vat, (4 Pads - ONE Axle Set)
from Camskill Performance.

But I am stuck on which 294mm Discs X 2 to go for.

I cannot afford Brembo/Jurid, - anything top end of the market.

so any ideas, plenty on ebay, Pagid etc,

I have also seen Impreza 294mm Front Godspeed Grooved Discs, Optimum 6 Grooves per face, Black Painted centres to help prevent rust build up. These are for the standard Subaru Embossed 4 Pot Calipers and Ian from Godspeed said he can offer them for £79.50 a pair inc vat , P&P is £10 , these come with a 12 month guarantee against warping even if you do track days.

Your thoughts and experiences with Godspeed Discs ?

In an old Scooby thread, Ian from Godspeed brakes, once said

"more grooves will take away too much braking surface and will have a negative effect on braking , more grooves will also wear your pads faster".

About his grooved discs, he said,

"top quality blanks CNC machined to our own designs that work , we machine 6 curved grooves into each face to disperse gases and debris , the optimum number as we have found over the years"

thing is, so much is said on the forum, with differing opinions and reviews from people of various experiences and knowledge, that its no wonder. folk like me with lickle knowledge, can get easily confused and ponder who is telling the truth and nothing but the truth.

I have the 294 mm Godspeed discs and they're great value for money and do what it says on the tin.

I had the painted centres and after about 12 months they still look like new.
