Seen a few get close to the mark, but if you want 300bhp then changing the turbo may be better imo.

If Andy Carr is mapping it then perhaps you should speak to him about possibly getting the 300bhp mark as he should give you good advice on what may or may not be needed

At 300bhp you'll be pushing the turbo really hard, it'll spool nicely though and it'll be good fun with such little lag.

TD04 hybrid perhaps? Probably see better Bhp gain with early spool and should get the 300 mark easily

hi , i recently to threw a load of cash at my classic v reg to get more power.done some learning on the way, i shall share it with u. 1st td05 18g turbo and an ecutec remap will do ! fmic will cause u big lag, dont go for new ecu either!!!! 800 quid wasted. and prob do well to throw a decent fuel pump like roger clarks, or bosch ,walbro. if u buy turbo get the real thing not an ebay copy. these items i did find quite a help , forge waste gate actuator, 3 point boost solenoid. but start - td05 18g and golly green monster remap. u will be laughing!.

No you have not wasted any money on your fmic at all !, you will not notice the lag at all it's milliseconds at best. a 3 port boost solenoid is a good upgrade as the mapper will have better control of the boost when hes mapping it, A tdo5 18g will be too big (if maxed) for the drive train to handle a tdo5 16g will do 350bhp with supporting mods so you dont need to go bigger as the lag will increase, other good turbos are vf34 , vf35 which will max out your gearbox, if you swap the turbo you may want bigger injectors aswell
for the love of god talk to your mapper as not all advice on here is good

Pretty much as above... Look at the TD04H from Andy Forrest.. Will get you 300 with the FMIC and spool like hell!

Who ever maps your car will be able to deal with the lag caused by the FMIC so you will barely notice it. (With a TDO4H)

Injectors on a Version 5 are 440's so no need to upgrade them.

Also may be worth looking for a sports cat or decat downpipe.

Basically
£300 - Tdo4h
£300ish Ecutek on current ecu and remap.
£30 - 3 port (mapper can fit)
£70 - Decat or £150 Sports Cats.

Don't quote me on the prices but its a rough guide.

also my v reg didn,t have a cat up pipe they come without one in pretty sure yours won,t either was on the older car`s from what i was told,

and i was advised not to do headers as standard ones are good for over 380bhp if your going over that figure lateral perforance headers are 1 off the best around or rcm ones or harvey ported ones other than these mentioned they aint worth it no ebay stuff !!!!!
