Best place to buy a Euro key blank for an 05 STI?
I have a UK registered Euro STI which has the retro-fitted sigma alarm with the older style two button key and separate sigma fob.
As the car only came with one key, I'd ideally like to get a proper Subaru key blank and have it cut and programmed; I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a suitable blank from other than a main dealer?
The dealer want about £230 to provide a replacement key, and as a mate's Dad is a locksmith I'd rather see if I can do it cheaper for obvious reasons.
Any tips guys and gals?

I dont know about the chip. But certainly a nissan blank is the same and can be cut at most lock smiths. I use one all the time as i no longer need the chip for my car. The nissian key does come with a chip just dont know if its compatable with the subaru system

We got two (no buttons) froTMC keys on eBay, perfect keys but have yet to find somewhere to code them, Timpsons can't do it and my local guy has just had a shop refit so no computer yet, assuming they will code (there is a chip!) then £40 for two was a great deal.

He also cuts to code/picture for a fiver.

Bit of a pain though. Personally in hindsight I'd have just thought sod it and gone for a full on key. Will still be much cheaper than the £230 Subaru charge for a new key in the UK.
I think including the key case and blade it stands me at about £40, and that includes a spare blade.
