Default classic uk 1999 turb no brakes!!!! help

hello,i have a 1999 uk turbo, sadly it has no brakes, the discs and pads are not new but look to still have life left in them, you press the peddle and although it slows down it is very scary.i have tried to bleed them, only managed to do one as the others wouldnt budge, but dont think thats the problem, any advice much appreciated,i was going to buy new discs-pads to see if this helped, hope someone comes up with reason for my problem, thanks in advance

If you can't bleed them, that's probably it.

Have you checked for seized pistons?

the brakes do work but not very good,so the pistons must be working, also when you let the handbreak off you can push the car no problem so none of the brakes is seized on,so the pistons must be releasing again

The handbrake is on the drums and it'll still brake with seized pistons just not very well!

My sister's Impreza has 4 pots on the front and had 2 pots on the rear and the inside pistons on all 4 calipers were seized which is why the braking was so poor!!! Basically the outside pads were pushing against the disk and there was no clamping force being applied!
