Default Pulsing/surging when accelerating.

Hi guys, just added a 2001 Forester to the collection car is standard as far as I'm aware (did have an aftermarket filter fitted, not sure on make but defo not K&N looked cheap and was filthy so back on a std motoquip filter).

As far as I can tell the engine is basically the same as the original one from my Bugeye WRX not sure what the standard turbo is though.

The car surges/pulses under anything other than light acceleration, no other symptoms idles and drives faultlessly at a constant speed. Best way to describe it is when you accelerate its like you are pumping the accelerator, it picks up, drops back, picks up etc.

I'm going to clean the MAF tomorrow (any tips) and see if that helps but any other ideas?

I had similar on the scoob, cleaned the solenoid with a squirt or three of good ol' WD40.

For once a 5 minute job that actually was a 5 minute job instead of 5 hours
