Since its last service my MY99 has hesitated when accelerating. It's noticable when pulling gently or hard and is through most of the rev range - a kind of lumpiness. Thought it was a dodgy tank of petrol but its going on too long for that.

Also just noticed over the w/end a scraping sound. It scrapes as the wheels revolve (ie gets fatser as the car goes faster) but seems to be there only when I accelerate. Thought it might be a rubbing brake line but its not and in any case that wouldn't stop when not accelerating.

Any ideas/suggestions before I take it back to the garage???

Thanks.

if its just been serviced then if theve overfilled it with oil theres a sensor ..sorry cant remember which [boost valve or something]som1 will know it]this malfunctiones if covred in oil apparently ,heard it mentioned a few times.also the scraping noise ...if uv just had new brake pads, theres a stone guard behind each disk .its quite thin and easily bent out of shape while mechanic moves the hub about and can sit against the disk making a scraping sound while wheel revolves.
