Quick question.. I have a 53 plate (blobeye) ppp wrx... and it running like a bag of s**t.. I took it to a guy who knows his stuff about subarus but i just would like to check something..
He gave me a list of things i might wanna bare in mind for the future..
* Greddy Profec b boost controller
* TD04 turbo + remap
* uprated fuel pump

Now the bit thats bugging me is the turbo, I thought the Td04 was a stock turbo... and the 'v??, something or other was the sti one..
Could anyone clear this up for me.
Im hoping to get somewhere near 270 maybe 280bhp with these small upgrades..??

Hi there


You have TD04 as standard,STi have usually VF35 or VF43(2.5L STi),VF48(hatchback STi)...

Different story is on the JDM STi 03 onwards where are Twin scroll

If you are looking for 270-280bhp,you should be OK with your turbo what you have plus i would add there decatted exhaust(you should be OK with decat downpipe) with decat up pipe

But i wouldn't fit boost controller,your ECU can control boost (1.55-1.65bar)without the going for any aftermarket boost controller at this level.

Remap will be needed if you are looking for 270-280bhp
