Default Borewash !!!!

Went to clean the car this morning and get it on the trailer ready for Tuesday , started fine , pulled it of the ramp and positioned it outside ready for clean .

Come to start it to move it and it won't start I have fitted 900cc injectors and its going away for map at RCM have I flooded the pistons and soaked the plugs ? How to get it started to put on the trailer ?

Advice please

HI,

Unless Subaru engine are different to regular I4, in which case I stand to be corrected. .. on my old Xflow engined Caterham (twin webber 40's, what a sound!) if I set the ketting incorrectly I would have to wait for a while.. say 30min. pull the fuel pump fuse.. turn engine over to blow out any remaining fuel vapors, fude back in n cross fingers.
watch out for FLAMES

as above could try cranking engine over with crank sensor unpluged , if still won't start remove plugs and give them a clean

If you've fitted the 900's to a car that's only mapped for standard injectors you'll do well to even get her fired up let alone drive onto a trailer.

Winch time.

Pull the dip stick and see if you can smell petrol in the oil. If you can then you would be advised to change the oil.

Hold the throttle fully open and crank her Lee and it will start, you need to get maximum amount of air in when an engine is flooded to go with excess fuel

take plugs out ,take crank sensor out, take fuel pump connector off so no more fuel, take crank sensor off, injector plugs off so there not pulsing, then turn it over fuel will fly out of spark plug holes.

But do check oil as will of gone in and contaminated the oil but if its a lil bit that wil burn away.If u got adjustable fpr turn it down that will help run lil better

Would it not be the case that excess fuel in the horizontal bores be less likely to find its way to the sump?

wouldnt even have fitted the injectors personally if there that over sized even putting it just on a trailer would have just had it done when there only 30 min work just put the standards back in and start it problem solved

Mapping went fine did 5 power runs 352 Bhp 405 lb/ft then started to run lean as one of my injector seals was the wrong size so letting in unwanted air.

I've ordered new seals from Carl davey and cleaned all fuel lines on the rollers with Duncan again on Thursday at RCM for final runs
