Have your standard injectors been maxed out? If they are running at the maximum you may get more power from fitting the 550's once the car has been re-mapped. Just replacing the injectors will most likely drop performance as the car will be over fuelling until it is mapped. There is a thread titled borewash that says a bit more.

no they havent been maxed out i just want to get to the 350bhp mark my turbo is good for it and everything else including my fuel pump has been upgraded only thing that i can see holding it back now is the injectors? running 440,s at min think i may need 550,s for that power figure

If you offset the price for a set of 550's plus a remap, is it really worth it for what would only be a few extra ponies on your spec.....? An adjustable FPR would give you the same outcome as new injectors but its still the cost of that and the cost or a remap.

I think 440's max out around 340bhp , so maybe if you got a adjustable fuel pressure regulator you might get 350bhp or change to 550's

Do you know what duty cycle your injectors are working at? One option is to fit a adjustable FPR such as a aeromotive. DON'T go for a cheappie off flee bay.

thing is i have had my car for a year now and because i bought it with knocking bottom end i havent driven it. i am in the process now of completely rebuilding it and have added a few performance parts whilst im at it with the 350 power figure as my target (car was mostly standard when i got it) it has never had a remap as far as im aware so my way of thinking is get everything needed for that power figure onto the new build then get it mapped.

If you had said that from the beginning would have been a lot easier. Get all parts together and fitted then re-map. Hope you get the figures your after.
