I recently swapped my BMW for a 1995 WRX, it's in reasonable condition, sti exterior parts etc, recites for a rebuild with forged pistons, forged con rods, steel head gaskets, skimmed heads,Cam belt, crank shaft bearings, oil pump, td05h 16g turbo, hks ssqv 3, and a few other bit, I love the car and it's great fun just always been paranoid about owning one

But unfortunately I've come accross a few problems

The power steering is leaking

There is what looks like an oil leak from behind/underneath the alternator, and looks like some has tried covering it with chemical metal, is there any other componants there or could it just be the steering fluid

And now to add to these problems last night it randomly got hot, I had been driving it loads all week, and checked the water and oil both 2days ago, the water hadn't lost a drop in a week, could taking the cap off (when cold) let air in, because after bleeding the system it's all perfectly normal again

So my main issues are:

1. Where could oil leak from around that area if not steering fluid

2. I'm concerned about the ramdom coolent issue, car was warm but had been off for 10min before restarting and pulling off slightly fast
