Default no burble

ok people i have a my95 wrx turbo fitted with a sti engine,since i have had the car it has always sounded more like a evo rather than a subaru,it has unequal lenth headers,stainless up-pipe stainless down pipe and 3" pipe throught to a hks power exhaust, but it does not sound like a subaru with the distinctive flat 4 sound,i recently fitted a newset of headers which again were unequal lenth and it still sounds like a evo rather than a subaru any ideas as to why people i was told it could be my hks system so fitted another of my other scooby and it still sounded the same just quieter,
so any advise would be much appiciated

Unequal = Burble
Equal = No burble

Because your tubular headers are less unequal than the O/E headers so the burble is less prominent.
Changing the headers and uppipe can have an effect on the sound the headers make.
As Baz states, equal has no burble and sounds like a four cylinder Jap bike.
The more unequal the headers the more the burble.
Some guys tell me the ported headers and matched uppipe actually makes the burble more pronounced. Personally, I am more interested in dffect and performance than noise.

Like gargling on the remains of your corn flakes before work. << something i did to give a example of burble.

Not really helpful to the OP, i dont think gargling corn flakes will solve your problem but it may get you the sound you want until hunger overcomes you and you have to eat it, but i just thought id throw it out there

Ive tried with Weetabix, its tends to like congeal into a kind of mush, which inevitably goes everywhere,

Who'd have thought that a cereal of such consistency can still fully flow through your nose when having a fit of 'the giggles' ... must be the high fibre content
