Iv only just bought my impreza and in the wallet with my service book etc. it has a folder with loads of TRACKER documents. How do i find out if the tracker is still there and can i get it working? Or do i have to buy a new 1 myself?

Phone up Tracker, and they will tell you if you supply them with the code for the Tracker (on the paperwork). Otherwise your stuffed, as its usually the way naughty people try to tell if a car has a Tracker before taking it.

As above, phone Tracker and give them the VIN number. If you plan on keeping the car for a while, you can buy a lifetime subscription IIRC which should save you some cash long term.
Tracker may try and flog you a service if it's been a while since the battery etc was last changed... they may refuse to cover the car if this isn't done. I had to get mine serviced but as it saved me a couple of hundred in insurance premiums, it was worth doing.

I'm also picking up an Impreza tomorrow which has a tracker fitted so phoned them up today and got it activated, its £13 per month and doesn't save me that on insurance but the Impreza I've bought does stick out like a sore thumb so I'd rather pay for the extra piece of mind.
Just my opinion tho.

One thing i noticed you get very little in the way of paperwork and correspondance once youve started paying your £13/ month. I bet that changes if you miss a payment!!

TX.
PS Could be urban myth (?) but a wise man once told me you can leave the tracker unpaid for & if the car is nicked the Fuzz will call tracking co & get them to turn it on as it helps locate a stolen car ... free tracking
