5th Injector

Hi,
I'm just wondering what the 5th injector on an RA does? Would fitting a 5th injector manifold to a bog standard WRX have any effect or even be possible?.
How would this effect mapping?

It does nothing, its plumbed into the fuel lines but the nothing there for the ecu to control it.

So an RA doesn't have an additional plug from the loom?
Surely thats not right?
