Default ppp fuel pump

ok i am hoping someone will be able to answer this question for me, i know what a walbro or walbros look like and have stamped on them as bought a few over the years.

just bought one on here, arrives today and low and behold all the usual markings have been filed off, leaving no markings at all and then like some paint or the likes in brown where the markings used to be.

so email the guy stating WTF is this!! to be told it's deff a walbro and came from a car with ppp pack fitted and this is what they do, niw with never having a ppp pack fitted i dont know if this is the case or not.

all i do know is that i'm not particularly happy about what i have got, can anyone confirm this??

as i think i am getting my chain pulled and not feckin happy!!

it was removed from an sti, and like i said i was led to believe that subaru did this, if your not happy please return in and i will give you a full refund. i got it from a chap on here amd bought quite a few bits from him, i had no reason to doubt him when he told me what im telling you, but if your not happy i will give you a full refund.

If it came from an STi then it will be a walbro pump.

I have been told by several people that Subaru removed the markings from the fuel pump as mine doesn't have any markings on it either.

this was removed from an sti and bought from a member from here jolly green monster remapped his car and i pickec the items up from him so it is 100% a genuine walbro, you also mention no garantees, its second hand, buy new if you want a garantee.

i didnt mention the removal of the walbro sign, as from what i understood it was common thing which eberyone is confirming, and as for peoples word not counting for anything well thats just complete crap, i saw the car iy was removed from and jgm remapped it and i can even tell you wotch garage removed all the items! ive sold pink sti injectors from the same car and also have the sti top mount for sale from the same car.

surely you should know 100% before selling an item and not think its one,

the walbro pump removed from my old sti had walbro stamped on it and nothing shaved off!!

im not saying ure a dodgy seller but the amount of dodgy/fake goods going around just now is murder and i wouldnt be happy buying a part that should be stamped one thing and its not.

Hi Grant

About the fuel pumps, sometimes is hit and miss,we are run before cheap Walbro pump from eBay and we are been OK on 350bhp,about the FPR,we are bought cheap FPR from eBay,but Neil@Slowboy Racing he advised don't use this FPR because can warrant will work as should, due this we are invest to the Fuelab and worth every penny, try contact Alyn@AS performance(here stockcar )he give us best price on this

not really that strange. id say if you rang subaru asking for price of a new pump, they give you a somewhat inflated price on what a walbro costs of the shelf.

on all of the new-age STi cars that had PPP fitted Prodrive suplied a Walbro 255 pump with all markings erased...........

WRX's and earlier cars withh PPP would have had std Subaru pumps so nothing was changed with these
