I drove home from work Friday night, stopped to drop off colleague and while he was talking (literally 30 secs) the engine started to fluctuate in revs, the CL light came on - no pulse just constant. Then it returned to a steady level and i noticed the temp gauge dropping to mid-range so it must have hit a high temp. So i drove home cautiously, after a few miles, nothing, so i opened it up a bit, nothing, opened it up a bit more, nothing. I got to the "home" straight and hit boost, nothing - all as normal. I haven't driven it since, but started it yesterday without a problem.
Fairly standard 1994 WRX, Z4 ECU, panel filter Decat centre. Any idea's?

Hit a bit of crap fuel ,
bit of air in the fuel line somehow
many reasons as to why it may have done this but its ok now you say?

Check your fan is working mate If its drawing too much power that will cause revs to drop then it could of blew the fuse the fan wont work causing high temp when stationary. when driving its ok as air flow is present through radiator.

Dont let her overheat m8 the impreza's are a bit of a wimp when they get too hot.......
