Default RB26/2JZ vs EJ25

Just for sh*ts been looking at 2JZ's/1JZ's and RB25/26's for a mad conversion with a modded skyline gtst rear.. I know it wouldn't be that unique, but I reckon one of these 'big' engines in the small impreza would be pretty awesome at top end stuff where the impreza typically lacks - plus they are p*ss easy to work on without pulling and seems to be more than enough room in the impreza bay and hugely tunable whilst retaining some reliability.

Something I overlooked was the EJ25.. since scooby bits look pretty interchangable on the whole - is the EJ25 a pull-out/drop-in job? Is it capable of top-end pull which is comparable to the 6-cyl monsters? Logically it makes sense, it's very light compared to the iron 6's, can be used in conjunction with either the 5 or 6 speed, retains the cornering abilities/weight distribution of the EJ - but I wonder if the 'brute force' is there as I've not been in an impreza with one before?

Cheers folk

Have a look at Andy Forrest and Jolly green monsters cars as they have flat 6 conversions running turbos.
