Default JDM NA EJ25 block + NA EJ20 Heads, would they work?

hey guys, I need some input from you

I have 04 impreza 2.0GX which is NA EJ20 with SOHC, yesterday I damaged the block of my car , the heads are fine. I found a JDM NA EJ25 which is DOHC for very nice price..
So I need to know, can I put JDM NA EJ25 block with my EJ20 heads? because I want to stay SOHC so I can use my Cobb spicy cams

so would this work fine ? and would that bump the power from 120hp to 165?

The EJ25 is made with SOHC 16 Valve Heads for certain Global Markets -The heads should fit ok as they are the same bolt pattern to the blocks( EJ20,22 and 25)
Head gasket thickness is something to watch to keep the Compression Ratio correct , 10.0:1 for EJ25 N/A SOHC IIRC.
EJ25 SOHC 16 Valve has the Screw and locknut type of Valve Clearance adjustment.
Hope this helps you.

So if the do have the same bolt pattern, then that means that I can use DOHC block with SOHC heads so the only thing I need to fix is the head gasket
