This is the target I hope to achieve at Marham in just under 5 weeks time, on the 18th of March 2012.
The only other Impreza ever to have achieved over 200mph was my old car back in 2006, that car now lives in Poland so the new car I started building in 2010 is looking to take up the challenge.
The car is currently stripped to a shell and is at RA Motorsports for a fresh coat of paint, I should have it back on Wednesday for putting back together if all goes well.
Below is a brief history of the project to date, the full project thread can be found here "9 second scoob in 30 days" http://bbs.22b.com/cgi-bin/ultimateb...c;f=1;t=006038 on 22b.com if you want to see more detail!
It all started in September 2010 when this unsuspecting little RA was purchased for £2k as a std car.

Lisa set about helping me strip the weight out the car

Engine bay was stripped and painted ready for the incoming EG33 H6 lump

1st engine build

Engine installed and ready to run at Scoobyshootout, 30 days from buying the std car

Car ready to run, looking 'almost' std!

Under the skin were hiding some lightweight rear brakes

And similar at the front

This is the car on track at at Elvington with the 3.3 H6, 30 days from purchase.

This was the revised engine bay for the cars first ever outing in the dry at Elvington where it done a 9.99 second 1/4 mile at 1.0 bar of boost

Short video of a dyno run from May 2011 running on twin GT28 turbos making 800bhp and 780lbft of torque running 1.4 bar of boost
H6 Impreza twin turbo
This spec was updated again mid 2011 season to run twin GT30 turbos

In this spec the car was the fastest car on the 1/4 mile at TOTB with a 9.22 second run at 1.5 bar boost.
http://youtu.be/9JU2btEQ0ec
And then went on to run a 9.00 1/4m at Santa pod late last year

Some weight has been saved by chopping away at the boot floor and rear subframe and also installing a new fuel system

The interior will be the same 'basic' spec as last year.

And thats us nearly up to date with spec. New stuff for 2012 includes....
The latest engine which is on the bench for building later next week, the newly refurbished and upgraded to twin Billet 30's thanks to Scoobyclinic and will also be using new High Compression pistons from Mark at Lateral performance. The blocks have also been closed decked by Alyn at AS Performance (pics later)

Thanks for the comments guys, looking for somewhere over 1000bhp on the turbo's alone but then have a 300bhp Wizard of Nos set up available at various percentages as controlled by the Syvecs S6 at the flick of a switch.....should it be required
what a nice pair in the last foto! dont think ive ever said that sentence before and not been talking about a womans t*ts lol. looks like the new cars gonna blow everyone away like the last one did. good luck bud.
I'm sticking by the fact that your a crazy mad man. 200mph shouldn't be an issue. Just hope you don't have to stop in a hurry

You would be surprised how quickly a car slows down from 200+mph when you just lift off the throttle! Brakes are unlikely to be applied until below 150mph and I know I can stand it on its nose from that speed no problem, its just sustained use they can't cope with.
Made me chuckle when I first saw the thread title without looking at the OP:
'200 mph Self built impreza'
I just thought it was some chav who had bought an old classic and was going to bolt a load of second hand parts on it....
Neil.
