Default best 300bhp turbo

hey im rebuilding my v3 type r and im looking toget around 300bhp its used only as a fast road/track toy. i was very pleased with the standard turbo vf23 but thats now sold so looking to see if there are any other alternatives

you sold your turbo befor egetting a new one? lol

300 is a bit of no mans land as far as turbo's go, most fall sub 300 or 320+, sc36 will be a cracker though

lol dont ask.. ive changed my mind about a thousand times about breaking the car, rebuilding it etc. anything over 300 really but i dont want to forge engine or uprate loads of parts i want to concentrate on handling/braking etc ill have a look at the sc36 mate

second-hand vf28 from an STi V5 or 6.........should get to around 320ish.....

+1 for the scoobyclinic range.

But if your only aiming for 300, then id probably go vf34 as would probably do just as well for less cash!

i think sc36 and vf34 are about same sort of money iirc

2nd hand decent vf34's come in at about £500 .... an sc36 is £920.

Fair point, new theyre about the same!

I thought youd seen the prices of the SC's and presumed that included vat and postage etc .... my 46 order stung a bit for that reason.

VF35 is even cheaper second-hand. Should cost no more than £300 or a TD05 16g - £75 plus the time of a welder/fabricator to convert it to front entry.

VF35 or keep an eye out for a decent VF28, i picked one up for just over £100 recently

For a genuine fast road car at around 300 I'd say hybrid td04!

lol, bit too small for me , but would be interesting to see if it does a nice round 300ish, i can imagine spool would be toaly nuts on it.

2nd hand vf28 will cost £150 - £200 and make 300 bhp all day long and very quick spool up,& have an extra £300 for mods - no brainer IMHO.
