Default Will spark plug change cause ECU reset ??

Im going to change my spark plugs soon on my Bugeye turbo. When i disconnect the battery for access, will my ECU perform a reset on battery reconnection ? Is there a procedure to follow ?

Will it run through any checks and setting up etc or will it be just set like it was before i disconnected the battery ?

It will be as it was prior to the disconnection.

If it was a classic it would reset and have to "re-learn" but as its a newage you have to physically connect to it via a cable to do a reset - disconnecting the battery won't do the trick

The DENSO ECU will not hard-reset disconnecting the battery as faults etc are stored in EPROM. Resetting the ECU requires plugging an appropriate device into the OBD II port under the wheel.

The ECU will lose it's learnt settings however and will revert to initial IAM but sorts itself out after a few miles of driving..

Shouldn't need to remove the battery to change the plugs. The washer bottle is the culprit!
