Default any ideas what this is?

i found this bolted between 2 parts of my exhaust and i have no idea what it is or what it does?
any ideas?

well,its the gasket as we all know, id say those weird bits is a noise generator type thingy to give it a type of certain note,werid,probably fitted in japan LOL

Looks like a guide vane (like you have in jet engines) to clean up the airflow. At a guess after the turbo the gasses are all spinning and flowing in a mess. This will straighten them out so they flow better through the exhaust....
