Default how soon before??

first post on hear so firstly hi!

my question is this

how soon before going in for a remap do you guys fit any extra goodies?

mainly the fmic?

fitting it myself and i hear its a bit of a pig so wanted to get a head start
can you safely run a fmic for a short amount of time (days, maybe weeks) before you go in for a map?

same applies for a td04 / vf35 swap?

fuel pump?

how do you guys get your cars to the mapping station after the bolt ons?

for example me to scoobyworld is a bit of a treck and dont know if i would be comfortable running along the motorway with an un-mapped car with these bits bolted on

am i being over cautious?

You want to leave until as late as you can. You can drive the car conservatively with some mods done, but once you change the turbo I wouldn't even connect up the boost solenoid if it was me. I won't drive nicely with unmapped mods.

What Jon says above is sense.

Even the Front-Mount can cause the car to have fuelling problems and those are killers.

Does it have a boost gauge fitted? If so, fit your bits, leave the turbo actuator unfitted and drive saeriously off boost. A short distance.
Or fit the parts and have JGM come to YOU?

Its fine once your drive off boost no need to disconnect boost solenoids or not fit actuator. Keep an eye on boost gauge while on your journey to mapping make sure it dont build up boost and it will fine.
