Boost gauge. Needle or digital.
Im going to get a new boost gauge can anybody recommend any they have used or have ?
I am wanting a black bezel either with a red sweep needle or modern digital type with 2 digits ( 1.2 bar etc ) in the face center. Are the digital ones accurate ?

I prefer the needle type simply because at a glance you can see whether you have boost just by where the needle is and not actually reading what it says. For instance i know if my needles a 2 o'clock position thats full boost,12o'clock half boost,9 o'clock zero and so on

Yeah im leaning to a standard mechanical type. Seen a stack needle type for 52 quid , too dear for my pocket and a 22 quid mechanical . Digital looks impressive and would easy to read at a glance but i dont trust them.

Thats how i have mine lol boost oil temp and pressure maxing at 2 o'clock. Obviously not good for perfectionists wanting the best looks. But ideal for reading everything at a glance. I also learnt this racing years ago. Old school style lol even used to turn the rev counters round and set the max rev needle to 12 'oclock

At 52 quid the Stack gauge is cheap, accurate and reliable. If you think £52 is too much, don't look at the price of Defi's, which are commonly regarded to be the most accurate.
Don't buy a digital reading gauge for anything that fluctuates quickly, like boost or oil pressure.
