Default speedometer inop, please help?

hey guys (so my speedometer went out on me today while driving (94GC8).. my RMP side is working fine and so is my fuel side. the speed and odometer is not getting any reading. my question is, is it a bad speed sensor or is it the speedometer it self?? and is there a way to test out which one is bad? thanks in advance
