Default fuel smell from catch can

fitted a catch tank in last few days and all set up ok.runs lot smoother now.but i have a strong fuel smell from the tank outlet breather.have checked everything and cant understand why i would be smelling fuel from the engine breather....any ideas folks

Only reason a fuel smell would be in the breather would be that it is getting by the pistons into the sump some how?
It would be either overfueling and bore washing or a lot of bore wear.

would say overfuelling as just did 36 miles to £20 !!! just had new lambda sensor so reckon maf is buggered.can this week get any better with this bloody car.

Mine had this, turns out the breather pipe exited in engine bay got it moved to back of car!

was tempted to run it back to inlet pipe as all the crap been taken out in the catch can.but the mad fuel use is down to maf i suspect.have done lambda now the expensive part.
