as above VERY pissed off tonight..2 days i took to replace the turbo on my95 wrx, i bought a recon kit for the spare tdo5 16g that i had, i did the recon a couple weeks ago and last night (thurs) i took the bold move to start the swap all going well this off that off as normal finished tonight (fri) started first time...also i did prime the turbo before hand...let it warm up took it down the road and gave it a little boost the turbo was whining like **** and no bosst at all...so very pissed off and will be putting the old one back on which was ok in the first place. so big lesson learned dont undo whats not broken.

May not be the turbo. You can get a very similar sound from a blowing up-pipe

All done, old td05 is back on and have full boost............stressssssssssssssssssssss. Now going to get the spare one balanced.
