Unhappy please help uk impreza starting problems

please need help
fitted a uk impreza 2000 with front mount intercooler, road tested it ran for about 2 mile an died, it starts but shuts off after about 2 seconds, checked everythin i can think of, pump, maf, loose wires, earths, vacum pipes, over ride alarm with pin code, had an auto electricain out tried to comunicate with ecu an failed, said maybe a signal was down to ecu, i then got a pin out for ecu an checked the obvious ones l;ike grounds starter acc an back up power.
phoned around an only option im gettin is takin it direct to subaru which is goin to cost a bomb.
its my mates car whoose had to leave it with me an go back to camp down south.
the car is uk impreza 2000 with a prodrive sticker on the back, has hks mushroom airfilter, apexi ecu, greddy boost controller other than that bits standard, i've even put old intercooler back on with no change.
any help would be much appreciated

sounds like the symptoms of an air leak on your intercooler pipework id check em all over carefullly from turbo outlet to throttle body.

If it were the chip/immobiliser, it wouldn't start AT ALL.

I'm assuming you have checked that the fuel pump is priming and running?

And you don't say who mapped the car after all those changes?

Does it have a fuel filter?

Sounds like symptoms of a blocked fuel filter.

yeah has fuel filter an put the pump on constant to elimante that an it throws petrol threw the exhaust, so tak it its not fuel, the mappin was done by previous owner some where but did have it at silverstone couple of weeks ago an they done a dyno run an was goin the end of this month for mappin with the front mount. the only other thing that was up with the car was some times the revs would drop off an stall but thats to do with idle control valve aint it? i took it out an cleaned that
