Default First tank of tesco 99 just gone in.

Ive been running my car on 97 Texaco for the last 3 months as the nearest V power pumps are about 8 miles away. Car has run great, but has jerked when put under load mainly in 3rd and 4th gear. So, ive opted for Tesco 99 as the pumps are about 6 miles away and its 3p per litre cheaper than the Texaco ive been using. 136.9 per litre. Cheap at half the price. Im going to see how the car behaves in the forcoming weeks. The car was mapped on 99.

I use v power or tesco 99 and never had a problem. Cheaper for you as well.

I filled my car yesterday, first time I've ever brimmed it. Filled up at Tesco with momentum as it was £139.9 and I had just done my shopping and got a voucher for 10p off every litre. So £129.9 was too good not to grab as much as I could.

My nearest Shell is usually £142.9 for comparison

Well done mate. That is my next move. How much shopping do you have to spend to get the voucher, 40 or 50 quid ?

Yeah, i bought the car with V power in and the previous owner said if you put anything in less then V power the car jerks. Thing is V power is a good 8 miles away, so i have run on texaco high octance 97. Car runs great smooth and powerful, but does jerk if you load it in 3rd and 4th on boost ( doesnt now with tesco 99 ). I have driven the car respectfully and never booted it only on the test drive before i bought it. It is a prodrive model that has been re mapped again. To be fair, it has run fine on 97 and sees most other cars off with a quick blip in each gear, never revving over 4000 rpm. As far as i know the ECU would just limit performance with 97 and retard the ignition etc as and when needed.

I may finish up doing that. I will give it a month on Tesco, then may try a month on V power.
