the td04 on my car has done 103k mile but with rebuild kits being only around £50. is it worthwhile to rebuild the turbo and get it balanced?

or is it a case of not really nessecary unless it has excessive play in shaft

If you are looking for rebuild kit and balancing you will looking at around £200-£400

At this price i would buy less mileage TD04 again

cost of rebuild & balancing is not a factor in it. only cost to me is the rebuild kit.

In my view not,i've seen good performance from TD04 which have done lot more than 104k miles,my friend bugeye WRX has been mapped few months ago and his engine done just over 145k miles and he made nice 275bhp
