hello,would a set of 2004 wrx wheels fit my 97 classic?

yes mate, they both have 5x100 pcd

I think a lot of classic boys put the newage 01-05 sti wheels on

Its really only the MY05 onwards STI (wide track) wheels that dont fit due to the pcd being 114.3 v 100.

thanks for that,i got some bgger calipers to go on so my old wheels wont fit.

Just take into account the tyre size. I think optimum on the classic is 225 or 205 but the newage can go up to I think 235 while most are 225. Just double check as I left my tyre size on the classic as standard.
