Default Oil catch tank

Hi evryone,
I need an oil catch tank for my 96 STI. Do I go for the cheapest on EBAY at £25 delivered or do I need something better. To my mind any container to hold oil etc will be good enough, but any recommendation appreciated. Thanks.

To do it properly you want a can with three inlet ports, an outlet breather and a return to sump.

Best bet is a 3 port system with breather system.

I was recommended by a few sources to not set my system up to return to sump unless the car is used more so for track time due to water/condensation building up on the oil and being returned into the sump.

Best one is the RCM complete kit, expensive but the best!

Same as above, u must get 3 port or its a waste of money. Also agreed that the RCM is the best, but this:

is virtually identical at a fraction of the cost. I've got one of these and they're brill

If it's a v5/6 RCM oil catch tank comEs as a complete kit with everything you need to fit. All hose, fittings cable ties etc!

You might be able to get a generic catch tank on it's own cheap, but rcm's is a complete kit made specific for that vehicle.

Thanks evryone for your advice. Iv ordered a 3 port one as recommended, but not sure wether to vent it through a breather or return to sump. I mostly use It on the road & the odd track day. Thanks.
