Default Autobahn FMIC fitting guide, anyone got one??

Hi I`m after a fitting guide for my Autobahn FMIC, I know its just a matter of lining up, but I`d rather have an idea of what needs to go where and which way around before I start.

This is the cooler.

And this is the jumble of pipes I need to get my head around lol.

Have emailed Autobahn, but they won`t email me the instructions, and asked them a few times to post it to me and no joy. Someone must have the instructions somewhere, that they could email me or scan??

Well there WERE lol. Cleaned up the pipes and hey presto no numbers!!

But its orientation of the cooler and I like to have a paper back up to my memory, not because my memory is crap, but if I get distracted or think "Hmmm which pipe??" I can let the instructions tell me.

I have just found the instructions for this very kit whilst looking through the cars history. I did mark the pipes for you and took photos of them mocked up so it should be easy

But I`m an idiot!! lol.

And I cleaned the pipes, and the marks came off. Also had the one pipe ally welded, and core pressure tested and all was good.

If you could send it to me that would be superb, I`ll get it scanned and loaded up onto my photobucket account so if anyone else (in the smallest chance possible) needs it.

Erm no lol.

Bit hesitant as I don`t want to fit it without a remap, and I`ve bigger injectors here, tubular manifolds and up pipe, and will get them fitted then remap it.

I`ve heard and read many a story bout fitting one and it causing problems, so I`ll air on the side of caution until its ready to be mapped. I`ve been called a chicken, and scared of it for not fitting it, but it`s my car to destroy and I¬d rather fit then map lol.

Get it fitted, plumbed in, then remove the two uppermost pipes if you're concerned, the re-fit the top mount. Just use some tape to cap the intercooler pipes.

Mines never been mapped with FMIC though.

That's good advice from Micky and at least the hard part will be done My old engine was never mapped for a top mount but that was because I knew the new engine was being built and I figured it was safer than the top mount it was mapped for.

Well its only going to be a matter of a month or two before I get it mapped anyways. So as you said worst case scenario is leave the upper most pipes off.

As above I`ll get it on when I get chance, as the sooner I get my butt in gear and get it on the sooner I can get it mapped!

Exhaust, induction kit, Fuelab FPR, boost controller and that's about it.

No problems other than I've blown some gearboxes up.
