The Sti TMIC is plenty good enough for 400bhp, just remember to use the Sti undertray too.

Why do you need a bigger intercooler on your hawkeye WRX. The standard WRX intercooler on that car is very good indeed. Wont give you any power benefits on a standard car.

If you are looking for 300-400bhp then upgrade to STI newage TMIC, but otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

Some have even run the WRX intercooler above 300 with no problems.

I'd assume he is looking to upgrade past the limits of the standard WRX intercooler, but you are absolutely right about the WRX supporting above 300bhp. I'm running a newage WRX TMIC on my classic at 330bhp. I think 350bhp is possible. The Sti TMIC has been pushed to 450bhp by AndyF and others.

As the car is a hawkeye WRX you wont really want to go past the 350bhp mark anyhow as the gearbox will not last long at that level.

That said, I upgraded to an STI TMIC for my 06 WRX hawkeye at 334bhp.
