Xenon BULBS, or an HID kit?

If it's the former, leave them alone and put uprated bulbs in, Philips Vision plus, Osram Nightbreakers, Halfords Super Brilliance, something 90% or even 100% uprated. Lots are available on BOGOF at the moment.

They give the light output WITHOUT the current draw, but are optically accurate, so don't suffer from the focus problems cheap bulbs, and many higher wattage bulbs, do.

If it's the latter, leave them alone and as above.

The H4 HID bulb is a b@stard contraption that does give more light on dip, at the expense of a poor main beam, and suffers from lots of dazzle.

It's due partly to the cr@p Subaru lights and partly to the design of the HID bulb.

Do a search for detailed reasons.

Got them in mine, work fine for me.

Have heard of 100w bulbs melting wires and plugs, but, mine are ok. Mine have been in best part of this year.

Doh.

Could be wrong, pretty sure I had Nightbreakers, after I palmed my HID kit off, I didn't rate them.

Stick to the so-called "uprated" bulbs. Halfords are good.

Then you get the light output without the current draw, so no melted wiring, and if you buy Philips, Osram or GE, you'll not have problems with focus issues.
