Default fitting boost gauge

hi in my classic wrx sti i have a blitz boost gauge
but i think its starting to look a bit grubby so i have been looking
at boost gauges on ebay and found one thats very similar to one
of the defi gauges.
i am wanting to know would changing out the gauge and putting in the
new one be as simple as swapping the hose and putting the old powerlead
into the new gauge.
if the powerlead is different does anyone have a gauge fitting guide or know where to find one.
and does anyone have pictures on where to wire the boost gauges power supply.

thank you

The vacuum line will be the same as on the blitz one, the wiring may be different though.

I just installed 2 defi's and it was a pain in the ar$e.

The boost gauges power supply is wired to the ignition (you could just trace the original wires), so when you turn the key and the fuel pump primes the gauges will turn on also.

The one you've shown above relies on "daisy-chaning " off the other gauges, and MAY also need a separate controller.

What make is it?

I've not known it to be possible to fit the sender from one gauge to another MAKE of gauge

Looks to me like it has everything.
I'd give him a call and ask, mentioning a "control box," ask if it needs one.
Looks like an electrical gauge, like Defis, the black plastic box shown in the pic at top left, has the hose attached to it, that turns the vacuum into an electrical signal that goes to the gauge.

So you SHOULD be able to plumb it in to the SAME spot as the old one is, then simply run the wires up into the cabin.

The wiring MAY be different to yr old one: most of these have FOUR wires, one goes to PERMANENT live, (usually red), one to SWITCHED live, (usually orange), one to lighting live, (usually white) and a black one to earth.

But it WILL/should have instructuions.

HTH
