Yes if the clutch is slipping. Revs will rise and the car will not be pulled along very quickly. Any burning smells?

If you can smell burning oil you need to be looking for oil leaks, especially near the exhaust system. Are you sure it's oil you can smell and not clutch??

Exedy uprated clutch is good for 400bhp and you are best off just having the current flywheel skimmed.
