Default ECU advice required.

Ok so car is:

V3 STI
550 injectors, walbro 255
headers, 3" tbe
greddy profec b 2
APEXI POWER FC (tuned by a reputable tuner in Thailand)

Ok, so I had the opportunity to borrow my gf's uncles Nissan 350Z for a month!
Left the Subaru in the garage......battery went flat.

Gave the 350Z back, changed the flat battery and started using the Subaru again. The car felt slow - I put this down to using the 350Z and that maybe I had just got used to the power.

Went out for a spin in my friends Subaru, bog standard STI V4 and it was seriously quicker than mine!!

So far I have checked everything - maf, vacuum lines, boost leaks, exhaust gaskets....everything! The last thing I tried was plugging the standard ECU back in - the car now pulls real hard!! I have not adjusted any of the setting on the EBC.

So my question is - during the time when the battery was dead, could the Power FC have lost the tune????

But if the Power FC had lost it's tune then even the base map that is pre-progammed into the unit would out perform the standard ECU!!??

Any help would be much appreciated.......I can't visit the tuner due to the severe flooding in Bangkok!!

Reports like this aren't uncommon, start the car up with the Apexi ECU fitted and let the car idle for 20 mins. The Power FC has to re-learn how the car idles but the map itself won't have been lost.

that will only sort the idle, it wont make the car drive faster..

I presume it was quick before the battery went flat?

yes, before the battery went flat performance was better with a lot more torque.

I believe the Greddy Profec boost controllers will reset when it looses all power to the unit. Seen this before, so not impossible!

What was it supposed to boost to? What is it boosting to now?

Graham

I checked the Profec B, it had exactly the same settings as before.

Lo was set to 1.1 bar and Hi to 1.3

When using the Power FC the boost level is still the same, but just no power whatsoever.

Could it be in limp mode or something??

I'll have to wait until the water's gone, then get the car to the tuners....
Thanks for the advice!
