Default Fuelling

Some advice required please.

Had my 1st map on my 05 WRX almost a year ago, I was told I didn't need to upgrade the fuel pump until I went for a bigger turbo. However, I have noticed that I have more grunt with a full tank. When it falls below half it seems like the performance is slightly compromised... quarter or less it feels like it's starving slightly.

Can anyone confirm whether it'll be because I didn't change the fuel pump please?

Cheers,

Wells

The impreza has an ECU controlled fuel tank vent (purge valve) and a tank pressure sensor, this I suspect could be the problem, get the ecu codes read

Ahhh... si!

Assuming that this is the problem the fix will be a new sensor I take it?

A new whatever is causing the problem, be it sensor, ecu, wiring, solenoid valve or pipe.

Cool! I was just thinking the other day that I haven't had a Subaru related haemorrhage in my wallet for a while.
