vf34 more power??
Hi guys,
Had my classic 2000 plate uk turbo mapped 2 years ago with a full decat afterburner system, uprated fuel pump vf34 turbo quikshift ind kit, the car made 325bhp on optimax ecutec mapped by powerstation, i was wondering what power you guys were getting from the vf34 turbos on classic imprezas? do you think it would be worth while if i put some 550cc injectors and a fmic and had it mapped again? what gains are their to be had..
Thanks for your help guys

I've just brought a vf34 and was told that 550 injectors would help gain more useable power so I got fine Sti pinks from here along with Sti top mount, 3 port boost valve, Sti up-pipe, sports cat down pipe, walbro fuel pump should see 330-350 hopefully.

can the vf34 make 360 bhp ? also does the front mount intercooler increase horsepower or is it just more efficient than t/m ?sti top mount good for over 400bhp . i have a vf34 , walbro ,550s etc etc on my 02wrx its going to be mapped at api using ecutek , can i expect over 330bhp ?? also would a fuel pressure reg help get the figures up ??

I was 380 with a hybrid vf34, pinkies, fmic, headers, ecu. Once the ceramic bearings go, its goosed. Can't get replacements. About 5 months out the ej20 before it melted too.. vf35 had identical housings, flanges and actuator - never had that one to bits though so not sure about the internals other than the ball bearings were noisier. Had surge/chatter too when i swapped the engine and turbo unit before it was mapped to 350.

Of course it depends on the car but it is capable of 350/360 without problems.
