new head gasket,safe boost PSI??
got a P reg 96turbo wagon, blew the head gasket car has had full enginge re-build at Graham Goode Racing 12k ago, crank case,pistons, conrods, turbo rebuild, the full works, over £4500 worth of paper work!
currently running at around 320 BHP at 12PSI. im putting an uprated 1.6mm multi layer steal gasket in from STI, finally getting to my question..
what do you guys reckon is a safe PSI to run at...i was thinking around the 16 mark?

to be honest im not to sure, bought the car off a good mate about 8month ago, got print out at 318bhp from 12 month ago. will be re mapping once gaskets done just wondered what you guys thought would be a safe leverl, i know its a bit veige as just looking for a rough idea krazycrab

it impossible to answer you question without knowing what set up you are running m8. i will say though if your upping boost i would at least fit a walbro fuel pump to ensure enough fuel being delivered when needed ,

yeah i know its bit of a silly one really, realised once id posted and didnt have every detail haha my bad! yeah will defo be doing fuel pump and then get it on the rolling road and mapped, see what she can give me :-D

320bhp @ 0.8bar my thoughts exactly i think someones been telling you pub tales m8 is ur car uk,wrx, sti as even sti needs over a bar of boost to see them sort of gains, or was your 320bhp pre head gasket an now ur running at 12psi to be safe ?
