HKS SSQV & Newage Intercooler .... pics pease
Hi
I tried fitting a HKS SSQV instead of the standard re-circ valve and it was problem after problem, it didnt come with a bung so trying fo find something suitable (found alloy bungs from SN member) and then trying to fit the flange onto the SSQV via a circ-clip.
Cutting a long stroy short what ever what I fitted the flange onto the SSQV I couldnt fit it into the small space between the manifold and intercooler. Does anybody have pictures of an SSQV dump valve which is fitted onto a newage intercooler.
If not might end up selling the SSQV and just go for a simple bolt on such as a forge.
Thanks in advance, Matt.

I had the same issue mate. Had to use one of these in the end http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Imp...item43a3e5bb01
Get yourself a bit of pipe and connect via that, I used a 45 degree bend to get a good placement in the engine, although still tight against the bonnet. The circlip I found almost impossible, I bent mine horribly before I got it in; took me hours...

the first flange i got off ebay didn't work as you couldn't fit the ssqv on at the right angle so i got a better one from demon motorsport and it fits fine (just) i used this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISA...#ht_1870wt_907

I have just got an HKS SSQV3, and also have the part that DonNedly suggested. still, the SSQV won't fit properly on newage as it fowls the manifold. the only way I can see it working is the way MicaDan has fitted his.
*EDIT*
Just noticed that you guys are trying to fit to WRX. I am trying to fit to STi, where intercooler is much larger.
