Quick exhaust question
Hi,
Can anyone confirm how many cats are fitted on a standard GB270 wagon and what kind they are, ie does it have a sport cat already fitted?
cheers
Steve

Thanks,
yep you're right its got the PPP as standard but I'm not sure what cats have been left on it, depending on who i've spoken to anywhere between 1 and 3! Even the mechanic was scratching his head at it.
Thinking of upgrading the exhaust with a remap, definitely getting a new centre, but don't want to bin the downpipe if a sports cat is already fitted.
Any GB270 owners out there who know for sure?
cheers

Hi,
thanks for the pic, had a look but it's difficult to say for sure. No heat wrap on my pipe, it does look a similar shape but can't say if it's all one piece. There's what could be join between the pipe leading from the turbo to the cat but it might also just be a metal heat shield? Do you have any idea what a non sports cat would look like?
thanks again

For anyone else wondering what the gb270 consists of I can confirm that it has a standard (restrictive!) cat in the down pipe. The second housing at the bottom of the down pipe where the lambda screws in is actually a small silencer although it looks like a second cat, there is a resonated centre and pro drive back box.
