Is it under the header tank or the alternator?

I thought it was in the warter crossover tube under the intake manifold and the one behind the alt was the oil pressure switch.

There ARE two, the one with only one wire is for the temperature gauge, the one with two wires serves the ecu.

hmmm... the two that are behind my alternator only have one wire going to each of them

Sounds like you are you looking at the oil pressure switch and the P/S/S
You need to look under the intake manifold towards the back of the block and you should see the 2 sensors in the warter cross over pipe.
