I thought ticking injectors on the EJ engines is normal; nothing to worry about.
My old '93 WRX's 380cc ones ticked away like good'uns.

mine like to "tick" as my 440s are working at 100% lol

I haven't heard many that I would call quiet tbho,very normal for subaru injectors.
