Default A small engine question lol !!

Hi all sorry I dont post up much on here. Anyway my question is this.

What's the easiest and cheapest way to built an engine capable of achieving 400-420 brake in the future. My car is a v3 sti v limited with a cdb and v3 heads already.

So im asking what way all use guys would go about building it oh and turbo ideas for the future

Many thanks

Suggest you buy one already that way fella, unless you're a millionaire

TX.

PS. Welcome!

PPS. It's not just the engine, you need a gearbox, brakes etc.

Don't want it all to happen over night plus I would like the thrill of building rather than buying mate Lol

Who put the cdb in your car and is it running standard internals?
And as TX said, you need a fair bit of cash to get over that 350bhp reliably, start with a 1 and add 4 0's to start with, thats a rough figure to work to as your car is a pig to modify in real terms.

350 is really going to be your limit, to start with you need an after market ecu, cost mapped circa £1200.
You need new injectors (2nd had prob 160-240 quid).
You really need better brakes, look at 600-1000 quid
A new clutch and probably a gearbox....
front mounted intercooler and caik
Ported manifold and up pipe
New wheels and tyres to fit those new brakes behind
3 port boost solenoid.
Some gauges to see whats happening.
A knocklink or KS3 to detect any det (though the ecu "may" do that for you)
3 inch exhaust.
Maybe an uprated turbo or a newer one, depends if yours is tired or not (you may be lucky and get away with using your standard vf series one).

Not cheap, gets more expensive if you want a reliable 350+....
