Default v5 type r gearbox / engine options HELP PLEASE

Hi people need help on options for my v5 type r in terms of which engine and which gearbox, dont have loads of money spare but want to do a good sound job so need to no my options and prices.

The box .. im not looking at a 6 speed as i aint got 2k so if there is a strong 5 speed id like to no also should i go with a close ratio box as this i belive is standard on the car from new, also the car has dccd.

The engine .. redtop yes as its a sti also what years are good and strong not really intrested in a 2.1 as think it will be exspensive option but unsure

allllll advise welcome

they are about from time to time,i know mervil also sold one not so long ago.
people are often upgrading to a six speed but just be carefull that they are not upgrading because of a slight problem/half worn box that needs a rebuild.!
hopefully you might be lucky on hardys one?
just hope it dosent sell!

im running a completely refreshed jdm sti 8 bottom end and fully overhauled v4 type r heads.
yes its expensive but is a good solid reliable engine,im still only running 1 bar of boost at the moment as everything is brand new.
im also on oe dccd gearbox(752).
i love the close ratio box even at a measly 1.1 bar.
