Default DECAT- Advice

Right I am booking in for my ecutek remap for my hawkeye sti

I am thinking of decatting the hole two cats coz that's the best way to go I heard for more power
Or
Just decatting the centre cat which I have already done and not have the hassle of mot issues*
Or*
I have heard to put the original centre cat back on and to decat the down pipe for best results all round

Any ideas thanks

Run it with a good sports cat on good and hot will pass MOT and IIRC only lose about 4 BHP.

Not the cheapest option though, that's to de-cat completely and mess around fitting the OEM exhause back come MOT time........

get rid of both cats mate, makes such a difference. getting rid of the second cat makes the car feel so more responsive.

I've got no cats and just put the center cat back for MOT's

Im thinking of getting a a japseed 100cel down pipe and taking out the 2nd one out, have already replaced the resonater and back box with haywood and scott. This should still pass the MOT with a nice hot pre run

I'm running a Prodrive sports cat down pipe and decat centre and STI up pipe on mine.
Made 281bhp on a TD04 - I doubt I'd have seen much more power with a decat, plus I won't need to dick around with the car come MOT time so very happy
