Default STI induction hose

Hi all, does anyone have any tips or pointers on how to go about fitting a new induction hose to my 2003 STI? Mine just burst! Any advice would be helpful, cheers.

Cheap silicone hose as Japspeed are OK,but depends how much boost you are running and how much ply they're have(4ply or 6ply)

My fiend running happy this with 321T and 1.7bar boost without the problem almost 1 year.

The car is totally standard as far as I know, but I don't know what the boost pressure would be. 1 bar at a guess?

Both hoses in the links are 4 ply and 5mm thick. These wouldn't collaspse with standard pressure would they?

Yes should be fine with standard pressure,as i said my friend running without the problem on 1.7bar similar Silicone induction hose(4ply).

No they will not collapse under standard boost or higher boost, some will collapse(i've seen Samco too collapse, its not just cheap stuff which collapse)

This will help

https://www.scoobynet.com/technical-...-guide-up.html

But mostly people don't remove the manifold, just you must squeeze IH(induction hose) under inlet manifold.
