Errrrm no, if a vf35 is knackered then bin it and buy another one, they are classed as "disposable", not worth rebuilding (plus they are pretty cheap anyway)

This place is in Jp but they sell what your after http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Turbo-Rebuild-...item1c15998793
I'm pretty sure last time I looked at their site in (2010) their address was in Jp that's why I was sure they were a Jp company.
Thanks for clearing that up, I was at least sort of right in a way

Just looked at the kit as I am thinking about rebuilding my VF35. But to replace the bearings you have to take the impellers off. So surely this would mean the turbo would need to be rebalanced otherwise it will destroy itself due to the imbalance.
I fitted a td05 kit on my mates turbo a few years ago and marked the thread on the shaft the nut and the compressor wheel so they went back the same as they came off to keep the balance. Its done 20k since and is still fine although you can get them balanced after you rebuild for about if you £40 if you prefer.

I have rebuilt several VF35 turbos and not one has failed.
The practice BugeyeJohn describes above is exactly correct.
I have access to a blancer with a simulated 80,000 rpm speed and it is very rare that any assembly needs balancing.

Only some can be rebuilt and until I examine it I cannot guess as to the price.
If everything is in stock, perhaps a week. If bits are required, typically two or three weeks.
