Hi Guys on start up i get a loud screech it only lasts for a max 30 seconds and then goes if i rev it gets louder when it stops no further problem only happens on cold startup cheers for any reply ,02 sti prodrive

 

Slipping belt, check the belt that runs the powersteering/alternator. possible ur battery might be low on charge so when starting up a lot of load is on ur alternator.

If it's been doing it long, DO check the condition of the belt, it can wear badly and you DON'T want it snapping in this weather.
